The Den Of Terror

12 December, 2014

I was using some of my troll accounts to sift through some silly forums over in the Bear Tavern about a month ago or so and I saw something which gave me an idea. This was also after my brainz were still boiling over on the writing fiasco which Portalarium tried to roll out in the form of Scribes or Scholars of Novia whatever they are called these days. Anyway what I saw got me thinking about how to represent how inbred the community was, I did some searches on software based on what I saw and came up with something called XMind. I like it, it is free, and you all should go get it.

So then, here is version 1 in my attempt to show y’all how shit seems to flow into and out from certain areas of the community based on what I have discovered through my troll accounts. Red arrows are meant to reflect a greater level of influence. If a group has an arrow to a name, then that denotes the leader(s) of that group for example. Names with arrows to the group would be leaders within that group.

Clearly, you can see certain areas which have a lot of in the family loving going on. It isn’t the best. Accuracy is rough being a first attempt, but it works, and I had lots of fun which is the most important part anyway 😛 You get the idea, now go figure it out for yourself and enjoy!

If you want me to update this, Blow The Whistle and let me know where I am incorrect!

I feel honored to have made it on the map. Though honestly, as someone who’s done a few SNAs, this is pretty cool. Unseen Dragon

I’m curious how to determined affiliation. E.g. I’m with SoN (which I’ve helped with), but most of my time/postings are related to my Lego work.

This looks like it took a lot of work! I admit I got quite a few laughs out of it, even the stuff I disagreed with. Here are my favorite highlighted people, in the order that I found them:

    1. Bowen Bloodgood (Doesn’t Understand Axes)
    2. Mystic (Forum PKd)
    3. ShadowLotus (Not Very Original)
    4. Amberraine (Where Isn’t She?)
    5. Mishri (Broke Forum Gifs)
    6. FireLotus (Professional [Monkey] Juggler)
    7. Dame Lori (Bewbs)
    8. Elizabeth (Hawt)

And here are my favorite highlighted groups:

Hearth of Britannia (Boulevard of Broken Dreams)
    Bear Tavern (Fisticuffs)
    SotA Wiki (Out of Date)
    Port Phoenix (Who?)
    College of Arms (Color Police)
Caverns Dungeons and Beyond (Collection of Webpages From the Early 90’s)
    Google + Community (Cricket Chirps)
    Lords of the Manor ($$$$$$$$$$)
    MGT470 (Twats)

Disclaimer, I have nothing against MGT470, LotMs, the CoA, Mystic, ShadowLotus, FireLotus, Lori, Elizabeth, etc. I just got a good laugh out of IM’s descriptions of them.

It took a bit of time, but had fun doing it 😛 It is off in a way, I drew in some of the stronger past associations that I remember too, so to as not to forget who did what and where they came from! Frank attached to CoA for example.

I’m just wondering what the true motive of this website is Insane, when you first started, I thought you were off on a interesting path, but lately you seem to be siding with the trolls that have ruined Shroud. ie: Charity case delusional Amber, that is so out of it that she cannot even seem to comprehend the true definition of Chaos, the only thing she is good for is being a tool of society, waking up everyday to provide a trash radio station, now that’s a dedicated brain washed tool, next up is the try hard sensitive Bubonic, the one that cries a lot, is full of himself, pretty much works as a janitor on the worst cartoon ever, yet never stops trying to 1up himself to everyone, and cannot decide which side he is being a useless turd on, then there is enderandrew, the forum princess, that will spend his life defending posts with posts of his own, defending with posts that are truly from a fanboy perspective, ones that make 0 sense, he must be a true faggot in real life to be that pathetic. So now that you have choose these allies, considering them your friends, your motives come into question here, are you really standing against Shroud? because it looks like you are just seeking attention now, most likely because you got removed from Shroud and are mad that you have to use alt accounts. Pretty sad way to rebel, you are the type of person that makes the true hardcores look bad. Maybe you are trying so hard to make a friend, and now that some of the Shroud trolls actually are coming around to see the Shroud jewry, that was there from the start, you have adopted them because you truly don’t stand for anything.

Sometimes I wonder the same thing! Two things created the Insane Membrane, Owain and Mystic. True enough that I was removed, twice, from the Shroud of the Avatar forum as InsaneMembrane but that only goes so far in stopping me. I am pretty sure I have made some people thing about things, brought and forced things into the foreground where they were not prior to some of my toxic attention. There are other ways of dealing with these things too, I have a fleet of alts to choose from and I use them every day in one way or another.

Mystic for the most part has been Forum PKd and posts as an alt now, Owain goes away for periods of time and I know his alt poster 😛 My orig goal was to stick up for the loners and the less fortunate, the pariahs, of the forum. To make an example of certain attitudes, showcase where and how some of the things I’ve called out have lead exactly to where we are today. At no point did I ever promise everyone I was going to take every community member down a notch, some need it some don’t. I’ll PK anything on sight in game, hell yes, but some who do more good to advance the community driven effort than bad, I don’t need to bring down.

Sides? Allies? I doubt any of the people you mentioned would call me their friend or ally 😛 And they shouldn’t because the moment I suspect something is up with them they’ll be at the other end of my sights as well.

Your point though is made, but I think it is not that I’ve chosen or am dying to have friends. I think it is that instead of only talking and yelling about bad shit and ass hats, I have now started to say neutral or slightly positive things about some members of the community who I think do get a fair bit of a raw deal from SotA. The fanboy you mentioned for example was basically forced to leave the forum the first time due to Mystic’s twattitude, don’t care who you are, if Junior Moderator Mystic comes at you then yes, you ARE my friend… For a limited time 😛

Let me say this, from the beginning of the creation of this game, there has been a fairly large group of people banded together, mostly comprised of role players, casuals. These people alone have shaped this game into a giant casual featureless turd. Yes the developers had an idea from the start, regarding what they were intending to implement, but this group has been responsible for OKing all the terrible design aspects, never giving the proper criticism, most likely because they barely game, not being able to reference what a good game looks like. They are so fanboy that anything the developers promote as a feature, idea, they automatically think it’s amazing, even if it is a flaming shit ball that would never work out. Also they are respsonsible for shutting down anyone who has an opposing view, opposing comment, on irc, the forums , or wherever. The developers seem to look to this group of people only for the Ok. That being said, here you are giving out awards, praising some of the key members of that group, so really, how in the world is that helping get any point across?, you are basically trying to point out the bad members of the community, then awarding the people leading those you complain about.

Just to get the facts straight too, From the beginning Bubonic and Joviex have attacked anyone with an opposing view, yet look at them now, after all the time that they spent bashing other people who had opposing opinions, they are trying hard to have opposing opinions of their own, some concerning subjects they attacked people for mentioning before.

I am in 100 percent in agreement with you about the direction of SotA and the fact that a limited few behind closed doors have the vast majority of input or direction when we’re talking about the community as a source. Of course yes there are then also those who would jump on a hangout and jerk off over something as stupid and pointless as yet another fucking hat to collect.

I thought the reasons that I am giving out these awards was a bit more obvious, let me try to explain it. I am giving out my “awards” to people who have clashed with the community, clashed with the mods, clashed with the Devs. Why? Well you said it yourself, too many are on the inner circle jerk when it comes to community input flowing into the Devs. The three which I chose while they may be controversial and sometimes in direct clash of the InsaneMembrane personality, are not in that Lords of the Manor/Duke jerk off that seems to have picked up in the past few months.

Also the very fact that the Membrane is now giving out awards which happen to be a nut sack attached to a chain I am holding, read what you want there, raises awareness on the issues of the community equality. It isn’t equal and they need to take steps to change that. The names you’ve listed above, are not leading the circle jerk, they have been denied access to it and wrongly so since some of the things they have done are more valuable than what others have done to gain such recognition! Like, creating a fucking guild with few users which don’t input, give me a break lol.

Bubonic and Joviex’s opposing views are required in the forum. I’m not there as Membrane any longer, and someone needs to slap some of those blind fanboy bitches in the face and at least challenge some of the facts being tossed around out there like it is FOX news. They happen to be able to do it without getting permabans…so far, which is more than I can say for myself on that matter!

Don’t worry, there aren’t a hell of a lot more people out there putting a lot in to the game itself or into the community. We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled Insane shortly 😛

If you some how have come to the conclusion that Amber, Bubonic and Joviex have always been opposing the mainstream community fanboys, you sure aren’t paying very good attention. These 3 people are main contributors to the pile of trash Shroud has become. Maybe you missed the 100s of times that each of them put down people with opposing views. Each of them also support the garbage Shroud staff without a doubt, looking to suck up to them at any chance, obviously you’ve missed that too. Now that these Shroud awards have been awarded to people, these people are now super butthurt, cry about it and it looks like their materialistic view has swayed them now in the direction of rebelling against Shroud, in their pussy timid kind of way. Little do they realize that each of them put out a not even worth while product, for instance, how many brain cells do you have to lose before thinking that a radio in a medieval game is a good idea? how about Bubonics try hard light house that he won’t stop whining about? oh wait that’s trash too. This radio station isn’t anything special, it’s more then poorly done, Amber is a delusional twit, that often throws a tantrum, clearly doesn’t even deserve a turd on stick, let alone an award. These 3 are definitely inner circle and if you aren’t aware of it, I really don’t know where you have been. They are just mad that they can’t gain the staffs attention with their tools of society mentality, which all of a sudden leads to them attempting to rebel.

In other news: FireLotus is a useless cunt.

No, Amber is about as mainstream as you can get! But what I mean is at least she kinda does stuff, again, rather than just saying I’m a guild and getting an award for it which happens… If they have to hand out these awards for such little contribution and without much thought, so be it, but they had better be fair about it at the same time. It is the fact that, for example, Bubonic and Joviex put forward stuff and some of it is functional and in the game. I don’t care how good or bad it is, they did it, Port used it, give them a ONBE like they did even lesser users who contributed very little and still got that shit. It is simple and easy to be fair about these things, and when Portalarium isn’t fair about it, that is what burns ma bawlz.

I’m aware how bullshit the award system is too, mainly because it favors certain people, when that isn’t even needed, these developers are clueless towards anything business, gaming, community related. I think attitude plays a bit into who gets an ONBE too, Amber, Bubonic, and Joviex often make a clown out of themselves, running their mouth, putting people down on irc, I’m sure the Shroud staff is aware of it by now. On the other side, most of the people that did receive an ONBE, never are sitting in irc or the forums argueing with people, putting people down. I will say I am surprised that Amber has not received more awards, not because I think she is doing something worth while but due to the fact that she spends her lifetime sucking up to the developers and is good friends with FireLotus. I don’t think submitting assets really deserves an award either, anyone with money, time can do it, it’s not exactly an extreme talent or contribution to the game. It’s amusing seeing how much people like them change, over something as pointless as an ONBE, they want it so bad, good ole fake people.

I would like to clarify something too, just in case developers actually pay attention to your website. In my past posts, where I’ve mentioned developers, I mean the 3 stooges, Chris, Starr and Richard Garriott, I am not talking about any developer under these people, as I know they are doing what is instructed.

Fun fact: Richard prefers to play house wife instead of taking his company seriously, on his spare time he likes to pretend that he’s an astronaut fencer… and people wonder why all his games turn into trash, when the leader won’t even step up and lead his people.

Here is what I have for you today…

A recommendation to make a comment section/page, to freely talk about whatever, instead of having to comment on a topic with irrelevant comments to the subject being discussed.

Earlier today I noticed Joviex had posted in the Starr Long GDC thread in the Shroud of the Avatar forums with some good truth about Portalarium, Later in the day, Joviex’s post had disappeared, along with a post by Drocis, mirroring what Joviex said. So multiple things could of happened here, two main ones would be that Joviex turtled up like a jew and deleted his post, which judging by just reputation, I can see him doing or his post got gased by the moderators, because you know, Shroud of the Avatar moderators think deleting any posts with opposing views protects the Shroud of the Avatars reputation, I’ve seen it happen many times, to many legitimate posters. I couldn’t guess on one or the other as they are both possible, but fact is that the posts definitely disappeared.

It makes me wonder what Shroud of the Avatar manged to do to Joviex and Bubonic, they went from being sensitive softcore fanboys, sucking up to the developers at any chance they could get, defending all Shroud of the Avatars bullshit at any means, to them both trying so hard to rebel now, I’d like to know what set this change of heart in motion.

I do think Joviex was on point with his post though, the video was full of lies, bullshit. It’s hard to believe Shroud of the Avatar even is within the top for crowd sourcing, Portalarium has basically no idea how to run a business, how to engage with the community, the community manager FireLotus does absolutely nothing to credit her job description. I could go on for days about how delusional this company is, all the things they do wrong. It’s a sad time in MMO history when trash like Shrould of the Avatar is among the top for crowd sourcing.

Plugins on wordpress.com are a no go. I suppose I could make the effort to move to wordpress.org or something, but I dont know. A forum is also an option?

Would be good if someone can tell me how to IFRAME something like a forumotion page into wordpress.com if even possible.

You are a compelete and utter fuck wit. You obvious have no read anything that I write.

I continually clash with teh development team, since like 23 months. You obviously have the reading comprehension of dirt to think that I am some kind of fanboi.

Perhaps you are just basing your stupid shit assessment on IRC conversations, which I only IDLE in there for over a year now.

Which really means you are completely asshurt over something in the past, in IRC, that I fucking buried you under and you want to play pretend something or other to make yourself feel better.

Frankly you sound like that assclown astrobia or the other douchebag xbrianx from the irc of old.

And, yes, you are an anonymous coward. My handle is synonymous with my real world persona. Has been for 35 years. I don’t hide behind some lamer name like Chaos.

If you had some balls you would at least use your IRC or Forum anonymous name, but you wont, and you will continue to throw shit at the chain link fence thinking something is sticky.

      Hts off, retard!

Also you can credit Shroud of the Avatars crowd funding to the sole fact that Richards name was attached. I wonder how Richard feels by implementing almost no features resembling UO, letting down the majority of the UO fan base. Richard has to be one special individual to ignore the game that made him who he is today, the game that a lot have been waiting for, craving, expecting, I don’t think anyone thought he was dumb enough to not cash in on something like that, but weird things often happen in life and some people are very special indeed.
